Clark Tower 5K Trail Run & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run

Friends of Winterset Parks and Recreation presents an in person trail event at Winterset City Park that includes a chip timed 5K and a free kids fun run. The 5K is the inaugural Clark Tower race and coincides with the 100th Anniversary of Clark Tower.

The course starts and finishes at the Stone Pedestrian Bridge and winds through Historic City Park. Runners pass several park landmarks, including Clark Tower, the historic South Shelter, the restored Bennett Cabin, the North Shelter, and one of the Bridges of Madison County. The surface is primarily gravel with sections along the park recreational trail.

A separate kids event of approximately one mile takes place before the 5K. Children ages 12 and under may enter the kids fun run free of charge; children 12 and under who wish to run the full 5K should register as standard participants. Packet pick up is provided for participants.

Additional event details include free parking and a refund policy that allows refunds up to seven days before the event. Ticket options listed include free entries and paid options up to 44.52 USD. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
