Course and format

The course is a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out-and-back route along the River Thames on a riverside towpath. The terrain is off-road trail with no elevation gain or loss reported. Participants may complete as many or as few laps of the 5.3 km circuit as they wish within the 7 hour limit. The event uses a flexible "rock up and run" system with a 1 hour start window to allow varied start times.

All finishers receive a bespoke finishers' medal. Both attended and virtual participants receive a physical memento. Runners who entered on Christmas Eve 2025 are eligible for a free bespoke long-sleeved technical running top, up to a maximum of 100 guaranteed tops; these tops were produced by REdbEAR Sports.
