The course begins in an open field for spacing and then leads into wooded single and double track. Terrain is described as smooth, flat and fast with scenic off road sections intended to provide an out of town trail running experience.

Entry fees for the 6.2 mile race are $45 through September 27, $50 from September 28 to October 8, and $55 on race day. Entry fees for the 3.1 mile race are $40 through September 27, $45 from September 28 to October 8, and $50 on race day. Registration is limited and shirts are a super soft tri blend; shirts are not guaranteed for late or race day registrants and are offered in men's and women's sizes.

Awards include medals and prizes for overall top three male and female finishers and overall masters winners, plus medals for top three in each age group (14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75&U). Medals are handed out on site and will not be mailed. Walkers may participate but should be able to complete the distance at a 16 minute per mile pace or faster to receive an official time.
