Flatrock Trail Run
Flatrock is a trail running event at Harbins Park (Main Entrance), 2995 Luke Edwards Rd, Dacula, GA. Multiple race options follow the same marked looped course on mixed-use trails through wooded areas.
The event offers these distances:
- Half Marathon
- 50K
- 50/50 Challenge
Course and support information: The route uses rolling hills and mostly tree-covered trails with a few short pavement stretches. Trails are generally not highly technical but include roots, rocks, and holes that require attention. Flagging and directional signage mark the course; pink flagging marks a 5.71 mile loop and blue flagging marks a 7 mile loop. Detailed maps and GPX files are provided for navigation. There is one central aid station, returned to approximately every 6 to 7 miles, offering electrolyte mix and typical ultra fare.
Logistics and rules: This is a cupless race; runners must carry a hydration container to obtain liquids and a phone for emergencies. Packet pickup occurs at the start/finish pavilion and requires photo identification. Cutoff times are set for each distance. Ample parking is available at the main lot with an overflow dirt lot. There is no on-site camping; nearby options include Fort Yargo State Park and a Holiday Inn Express in Bethlehem, GA. Weather is typically in the mid 60s to high 40s and cell service can be spotty in places. Volunteers receive free entries to future races. In severe weather the event may be delayed or canceled.
