Flatrock

Flatrock is a trail race weekend held at Harbins Park in Dacula, GA. The event offers multiple race options on undulating singletrack through wooded terrain. The trails are described as nontechnical with short hills that rarely take more than a minute or two to climb.

Distances offered include:

• 50/50 Challenge
• 50K
• Half marathon (13.1 miles)

The 50K course is composed of two 13.2 mile loops and one 5.2 mile loop. The half marathon consists of a single loop. Aid stations are placed along the routes and are noted as being easily accessible by family and friends, and runners will pass the start and finish area multiple times.

Cutoff times listed by the organizer are 9 hours for the 50K, 5 hours for the 13.2 loop, and a strict 9 hour cutoff for the 50/50 Challenge. For the 50/50 Challenge, entrants who choose to continue after the 50K must complete the full 50 miles within the 9 hour cutoff to receive credit; failing to do so results in no credit for either distance. Successful 50/50 finishers receive a completion shirt and a complimentary entry to the following year.

Registrations are capped and the organizer reports selling out the event for the last three years. Registration closes October 10. Race items are provided to entrants, race photos are complimentary, and top three men and top three women in each race receive recognition and a free entry for the next year.
