The Wasdale Fell Race is a long AL-category mountain event held on 11 July 2026 at Brackenclose, Wasdale, in the Lake District. The course is listed as approximately 34 km (21.1 miles) with about 2750 m of ascent. The route crosses rough ground, steep climbs and grassy descents, includes multiple checkpoints and sections where navigation and local route knowledge are important.

Entries are by pre-entry only, opening 6 April 2026 and closing 10 July 2026. Entry fees are listed as FRA Member £20, Non Member £22 and Under 23s £10. There is a stated field limit of 250 and a waiting list will be used if the event becomes full; substitutions are permitted before entries close. The entry fee includes light refreshment and use of the SPORTident race management system. All SI-Cards are provided and pre-logged; personal SI-Cards are not used.

The race is part of the Lakeland Classics Trophy. As part of an FRA tracker device trial, carrying a provided tracker is mandatory and trackers are issued at registration. Full FRA kit is required and will be checked before race numbers are issued. Required kit includes a waterproof top and bottoms with hood, hat, gloves, map of the course area, compass, whistle and emergency food.

Parking, registration and the start/finish area are on the field east of the National Trust campsite at Wasdale Head. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in open and age categories and to qualifying club teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
