The Celtic Trail Races, in its 6th year, take place around Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taff. Routes run through Afan Forest and the Rhigos mountain range, then along high-level sections of the Coed Morgannwg Way, with views across the Brecon Beacons National Park. Terrain includes sharp climbs, long flowing descents, river crossings and single-track sections on mainly forest trails. All courses finish at Dare Valley Country Park. An interactive map and GPS file are available for the routes. A compulsory kit list must be carried in full.

- 34 miles - 5,850 ft ascent, circular from Dare Valley Park
- 26 miles - 4,200 ft ascent, circular from Dare Valley Park
- 13 miles - 2,200 ft ascent, linear from Resolven Rugby Club to Dare Valley Park
Courses are fully marked with arrows, flags and marking tape. Checkpoints: 7 for the Ultra, 6 for the Marathon and 3 for the Half; they provide water and high-energy refreshments. All courses close at 6pm; published time limits include 10 hours for the Ultra, about 8 hours for the Marathon and 7 hours for the Half. Coach transport to the half marathon start is available at extra cost and allows a small finish bag (10 litres) to be returned to the finish. Entry fees are listed per distance and optional extras include coach transport, event T-shirt and hoodie. Entry includes a race buff, finishers medal, parking at Dare Valley, finish refreshments, medical cover, electronic timing, and route permits.
