Suffolk County Marathon

The Suffolk County Marathon takes place on October 17th and 18th, 2026 in Bay Shore, New York. This is the event's 12th year. The race raises money to benefit veterans, having raised over $1,000,000 for local veterans' services to date.

The weekend features events on both Saturday and Sunday, with races held in Gardiner County Park and the Village of Babylon. Sunday's Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K start in the Village of Babylon and finish at Gardiner County Park. The marathon and half marathon courses cross the Robert Moses Causeway. Saturday's races, including a 5K Family Trail Run/Walk and a 1K Kids Fun Run, start and finish at Gardiner County Park.

A 3 x 2 mile cross country relay at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, NY, marking the 47th running of the event. The program includes a youth division, a costume contest with prizes, post race refreshments and multiple age categories.
