About the race
The Long Island Turkey Trail Trot is a trail run and walk held at Bethpage State Park, Polo Field / Bethpage Polo at the Park in Bethpage, NY. The event features an in-person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K option with a week-long window for virtual participants to upload times and photos.
A free Kiddie Dash takes place before the 5K. Post-race refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Amenities include an informal bag check area, nearby restrooms within a few minutes walk of the start and finish, hydration at the finish line, and same-day finish-line photos with live online results.
Registration options include in-person 5K, virtual 5K, and an optional bib mailing service for an additional fee if requested at least ten days before the race. Registration fees are non-refundable. Purchase Protection is offered as an optional add-on for eligible unforeseen circumstances.
Age-group recognition is awarded online for top finishers overall and in multiple age brackets, including youth and senior divisions. A portion of event proceeds and 100 percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports youth, special needs programming, and athlete development.
