About the race
The Never Stop Running Foundation Queens Turkey Trot 5K is a community 5K run/walk held at Alley Pond Park in Oakland Gardens, NY on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026. The event includes an in-person 5K, a virtual 5K option, and a free Kiddie Dash. A race T-shirt is offered and bib mailing is available for an additional fee.

The course uses park trails and is organized as three loops; participants are asked to run through the timing mats on each loop so split and finish times record correctly. Amenities listed for the event include an informal bag check area in the staging zone, bathrooms within a few minutes' walk from start and finish, hydration at the finish, and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Virtual participants can submit times and up to five photos during the event window.
Registration offers in-person and virtual entries, with an optional bib mailing service. Registration fees are non-refundable. Additional donations are collected for the Never Stop Running Foundation, and 100% of donations benefit the foundation's athletic and community programs.
