Dirty Dozen 50K - Forest Park, Queens

The Dirty Dozen 50K is a trail ultramarathon held on August 29, 2026, in Forest Park, Queens, New York. The race covers a total distance of 50K on a repeated loop course along the Orange Trail.

The course is a 2.5 mile loop run counterclockwise for twelve laps. Each loop includes about 300 feet of elevation gain, producing a substantial cumulative climb over the full race. The route passes through shaded woods and rolling terrain within the park.

There is a fully stocked aid station at the lap turnaround after every loop, providing hydration and nutrition. Volunteers staff the aid station and offer support to runners between laps.

The event is described as grassroots in character and draws runners who value repeated lap format and community presence. An 8 hour cutoff applies for finishing all twelve laps. The race includes bib pickup and a race briefing.

Registration is available but space is limited; registration closes on August 26, 2026. The course is reachable by public transportation or car. Weather in late August may include heat, humidity, or sudden rain, and trail running shoes are recommended. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
