MCW Westfield Ultra

MCW Westfield Ultra : Tamaques Park, Westfield NJ

The MCW Westfield Ultra is a timed loop event at Tamaques Park in Westfield, NJ. Participants register for one of the following events and complete as many loops as possible on a course with one loop equal to 0.8 miles. Runners may choose pavement or gravel for each loop.

• 9 Hour
• 6 Hour
• 3 Hour

The race start and finish and public parking are located at the main parking lot next to the tennis courts and playground, where restrooms are available. Participants may place gear, coolers, and shade near the start location for their own supplies. Support crews and pacers are allowed. Only 24-hour participants may have a tent, which must be set up close to sundown, and night running requires a headlamp and a reflective vest. Quiet hours begin at 8 pm and support teams are asked to limit travel at night.

An aid station at the start/finish provides snacks, prepared food, ice, water, electrolytes, GI supplies, First Aid, and hot weather gear. Participants in shorter events are asked to leave prepared food for longer-event competitors. For each support member, a small donation to MissionCleanWater is requested.

MissionCleanWater is a 501c3 nonprofit working on clean drinking water and sanitation projects domestically and internationally. Participants who raise $500 for clean water projects are eligible for a full refund and guaranteed entry to future races. Race medals are awarded by event completion; medals cannot be guaranteed for registrations after July 15. Refunds are not offered except for proof of injury or by meeting the $500 fundraising requirement. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
