Route Details

The race is a 10 km course with a total climb of 300 meters. It is classified as having a moderate difficulty level. The route will be fully marked, and the use of GPS devices is not allowed.

Mandatory Kit

All participants must bring a specified set of equipment, known as Level B Standard kit. This includes:

  • A waterproof jacket
  • A hat or buff
  • Gloves
  • A whistle
  • A charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored
  • A foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent

Runners must be prepared to carry all this equipment during the race if required by the conditions on the day. There will be random kit checks, and failure to have the required items may result in denied entry or disqualification.

Registration & Logistics

Entry opens on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 21:00 and closes on Friday, February 27, at 18:00. The entry fee is €7 for seniors, and €5 for those over 65 or under 18. The event has an entry limit of 250 participants.

Registration takes place at the MayFly Inn in Ballinafad Village, opening at 09:30 and closing sharply at 10:30.
