The Care for Kids Barnstaple 10K takes place on 07 June 2026, with the event base at Barnstaple Rugby Club (Pottington Road, Barnstaple EX31 1JH). The route starts at the rugby club, includes a loop around Bridge Field, follows the Tarka Trail to Pottington, crosses the river via Taw Bridge, completes a short loop on the Tarka Trail, crosses Long Bridge and continues to Rock Park. After a loop of Rock Park the course returns to the rugby club via Taw Vale and the Strand. The course is predominantly off road using the Tarka Trail and public pavements and is described as flat. The distance is approximately measured at 10K. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs; dogs, pushchairs and walkers are not permitted. Competitors must be over 15 years of age.

Entries and facilities

Entry pricing varies by period: early bird (before 14 Feb 2026) £22 affiliated / £24 unaffiliated; Valentine promotion (14 Feb to 14 Mar 2026) £24 / £26; standard entry (from 15 Mar 2026) £26 / £28. Online entries close on 3 June 2026. Team entry is allowed by entering individually and adding a team name; running clubs cannot enter as a team. Affiliated fee applies to members of UKA or ARC affiliated running clubs; tri-clubs and running groups are not eligible for affiliated entry. Registered participants receive a running shirt if entered before 15 May, a finishers medal, category prizes, a prize for best fundraiser and chip timing. Baggage storage is available at the rugby club and is left at the owner’s risk. Entry fees are non-refundable. ARC permit number is TBC.
