The event is an approximately measured 10K road and trail run based at Barnstaple Rugby Club, Pottington Road, Barnstaple EX31 1JH. The route starts at the rugby club, includes a loop around Bridge Field, follows the Tarka Trail to Pottington, crosses the river via Taw Bridge, returns briefly along the Tarka Trail, crosses Long Bridge to Rock Park, completes a loop of Rock Park, and returns to the rugby club via Taw Vale and the Strand.

The course is predominantly off road using the Tarka Trail and public pavements. It is described as flat and suitable for aiming for a personal best. The race is chip timed and finishers receive a medal. Prizes are awarded across categories and there is an additional prize for the best fundraiser, individual or team.

Entry options and key conditions are set by date. Early bird and promotional prices apply before specified deadlines, with full price applying from 15 March 2026 onward; running shirts are provided only to entries made before 15 May 2026. Online entries and race transfers close on 3 June 2026. Team entries are submitted individually with a team name; running clubs cannot enter as a team. The event is unsuitable for wheelchairs; no dogs, pushchairs or walkers are permitted. Competitors must be over 15 years old. Trail runs nearby

A fully supported winter challenge across Dartmoor offering 50 km and 30 km routes from south to north. The route crosses remote open moor with unmarked sections and on-course guides, maps and GPX support are provided.

A starlit night trail at Arlington Court in North Devon, organised by Ilfracombe Running Club, with 6 km and 12 km loop options. Mandatory headtorch and trail shoes, age limits apply, and a 50 minute first-loop cut off for the 12 km.
