The Exmoor Running and Walking Festival
The Exmoor Running and Walking Festival is a multi-day event held at the Pinkery Centre for Outdoor Learning in Simonsbath, Somerset. Based in a remote part of Exmoor National Park, the festival brings together two established events, the Exmoor Perambulation and Man vs Moor, over the summer solstice weekend.
The schedule includes various activities across three days. On Friday, participants can take part in a sunset swim at Pinkery Pond. Saturday features the Exmoor Perambulation with options for walking or running across different distances. Sunday is dedicated to the Man vs Moor adventure runs. Additional social activities include guest speakers, film screenings, and a communal BBQ area where participants bring their own food.
Participants have a variety of distances to choose from:
- 30 miles (Ultra Trail Marathon or Long Distance Walk)
- 15 miles (Wild Trail Run or Long Distance Walk)
- 10 miles (Man vs Moor Ultimate Adventure Run)
- 10 km (Man vs Moor Classic Adventure Run)
- 5 km (Man vs Moor Light Adventure Run)
