Bude Lifeboat Run

The Bude Lifeboat Run is organised by Bude RATs and takes place on Wednesday 10 June 2026. The event supports the RNLI; surplus monies raised are donated to the charity. After the previous event the organisers presented a cheque for £8,032.09.

The programme includes a senior six mile race that follows the cycleway, canal towpath and off road footpaths around Bude, and two junior one mile races run over a single lap using the cycleway and canal towpath. Chip timing is used for all races. Course files and GPX details are provided by the organisers.

Race headquarters are at Bude Rugby Club, Bencoolen Meadow, Bude EX23 8QG. Parking is available at The Crescent Car Park EX23 8LE, a short walk from Race HQ; parking fees may apply. Overspill parking is at Wharf and Neetside. Showers, a bar, a BBQ and RNLI souvenirs are available at Race HQ. First aid cover is provided by RNLI Lifeguards.

The senior race is limited to 500 places. Online registration closes on Sunday 7 June 2026 or when the race reaches capacity. The event forms part of the Cornwall Road Running and Racing Group Multi Terrain Race Series 2025-2026. MP3 players and personal audio devices are banned during the race for safety; competitors found wearing them will be disqualified.
