Talan’s Notorious Trail 24/12/6 hour

Talan’s Notorious Trail is a timed running event offering 24 hour, 12 hour, 6 hour and a Cub fun run on a looped course. The loop measures five miles and follows a coastal and inland route that looks out over Widemouth Bay, continues on a nature trail to the Wier, then returns along the Bude canal to the bay.

The event is based at the Bay View Inn, Marine Drive, Widemouth Bay, Bude. Entry packages include camping from Friday night through to Monday morning; camping covers the competitor plus one adult and children under 16. Age limits require participants to be 20 years or older for the 24 hour, 12 hour and 6 hour events. Entries open 15 November 2025 and close 21 June 2026. Entry fees range from £7.50 for the Cub fun run to £89 for solo 24 hour entry.

The event is organised by Bude Rats and takes place under a UK athletics race license. There are short sections of road on the course where standard headphones are not allowed; bone conduction headphones are permitted but their use is discouraged. Transfers, deferrals and cancellations are not accepted, though refund protection options are offered at entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
