The Canterbury City Orienteering Race takes place in Canterbury on 22 May 2026. The event is organised by Sporting Events UK in partnership with Saxons Orienteering. Courses run through the historic city centre and pass King’s School cathedral grounds, Westgate Gardens, and St Augustine’s Abbey, with the finish at Canterbury Christ Church University.

The event uses an individual time trial format. Competitors receive a map before the start and are given basic navigation guidance. Runners follow a route past mapped checkpoints and record split times using a dibber (finger-mounted SportIdent data stick). The fastest overall time wins.

Facilities listed at the venue include full refreshments, baggage drop, and toilets. Results are provided live on the event website as runners cross the finish. Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, plus 1st male and female in VET40, VET50 and VET60 categories.

Entry fees for advanced entries are tiered: £14 early bird, £16 from 2 February, and £18 from 11 May. Advanced entries are open until 11pm the Friday before the event, subject to map availability.
