California Fall Classic at Lake Sonoma
The California Fall Classic at Lake Sonoma is scheduled for October 18, 2025, at the Lake Sonoma Visitor Center near Healdsburg, California. The event offers two race distances:
- 100K
- 55K
Course, logistics and policies
Both races use courses that include miles of single-track trails with views of Lake Sonoma and surrounding wine country during harvest season. Course maps and GPX files are provided. The 100K has five full aid stations and three water stations, with no more than seven miles between aid at any time. The 55K has five full aid stations and two water stations. Weekend amenities include on-site camping, live music, and local food, wine and beer. Proceeds support the Children of Vineyard Workers Scholarship Fund. Packet pickup is available at Healdsburg Running Company in the days before the race and at the start area on race day.
Event rules include a strict no littering policy, a requirement to be respectful to volunteers and other trail users, and a ban on pacers and trekking poles. The event enforces a zero-tolerance anti-doping policy and may conduct drug testing; refusal to test can result in disqualification and further sanctions. The event follows a transgender and non-binary entrant policy that aligns with the Western States approach and allows pregnancy deferrals for up to two years.
