Sonoma Fall Classic
The Sonoma Fall Classic is a multi-day trail event at Lake Sonoma in Geyserville, California, presented by Aravaipa Running in partnership with Healdsburg Running Company. The event includes multiple distances that use the Lake Sonoma trail network and adjacent roads.
Distances
- 100 Mile
- 50 Mile
- Marathon
- Relay teams (four person teams; 100 or 50 mile options)
The courses include extensive singletrack and several road sections, with sustained elevation changes and vantage points overlooking Lake Sonoma and surrounding wine country during harvest season. Key course facts include approximate distances and time limits: the 100 Mile is about 100.5 miles with roughly +25,058 feet of elevation gain and a 36 hour limit; the 50 Mile is about 51.5 miles with +10,612 feet and a 16 hour limit; the marathon is about 26.6 miles with +5,903 feet and an 11 hour limit. Relay teams run the same loops divided into legs; 100 mile relay legs split into two longer and two shorter segments, and 50 mile relay legs are defined with four exchange points.
Aid stations and support details are published for each course. Portable toilets are provided at Start/Finish, South Lake Trailhead, Warm Springs, Liberty Glen, and Lone Rock. Drop bags are transported to Start/Finish, Warm Springs, and Lone Rock for applicable distances. Crews have designated access points; there are no nearby gas stations so crews should fuel up in advance. Free on-site camping is available for registered participants on a first come, first served basis. Bib pickup is at Healdsburg Running Company in Healdsburg.
