The Calero Trail Run - Winter takes place at Calero County Park in San Jose, California. The event features a variety of terrain including single track trails, dirt paths, and hills through oak trees and open areas offering panoramic vistas.

The event offers several distances to accommodate different preferences:

The course for the 50K distance is designed to include significant exposure and elevation gain, serving as a training option for longer trail events. Participants in the longer distances, from the Half Marathon up to the 50K, are subject to specific cutoff times at various points along the course, with a final nine-hour limit for the 50K.

Participants navigate using a system of colored ribbons, such as green, blue, orange, and pink, depending on the specific distance and direction of the loops. Aid stations are located at the start and finish area as well as the Rancho Canada del Oro parking lot, providing water and assistance at designated mile marks. Drop bags can be utilized by 50K runners at both the start/finish and the Rancho Canada del Oro station.

Facilities include toilets at the main start area and a commode at the remote aid station. Parking at Calero County Park is free for all attendees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
