The Cabin Fever Trail Race takes place at the Richfield Heritage Preserve in Ohio. This winter event provides an opportunity for participants to utilize trail shoes on a course located within a park featuring various historical elements. A portion of the entry proceeds is directed back to the maintenance and preservation of the park grounds.

Participants can choose from several event formats and distances:

• 5k Run: A standard trail running race.
• 5 Mile Run: A longer trail distance for runners.
• 5k Ruck: A weighted category that includes a specific patch.
• 5 Mile Ruck: A longer weighted category that includes a specific patch.
• Virtual 5k or 5 Miler: Remote options where materials are mailed to participants.

The event features a course with a split for the different distances located near the 3-mile mark. The path is marked with signage and supported by volunteers to direct participants. All participants receive a soft-fit long-sleeve shirt, with the option to upgrade to a hooded sweatshirt. Registration also includes a race bib, timing chip, and post-race snacks.

On-site amenities include a warming fire with a s'more station and a beer garden where participants can use a provided drink ticket. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in 10-year age groups. Results are made available online following the conclusion of the races.
