Burnsall Trail Half
The Burnsall Trail Half is the first race in the Due North Trail Race Series, held at the riverside location of Burnsall. The route takes in several sections of the Dales Way footpath and includes around 500 m of ascent, with climbs offering 360 degree views of the Yorkshire Dales.
The course runs along riverside paths, stone tracks and open fields and is partially way marked. Drink stations provide water and juice. A post-race meal (pie, soup or similar), a bottle of beer, Due North merchandise and sponsor goodies are included. Free car parking is available and marshals will manage parking and direct runners. A toilet block with male and female toilets is located at the top of the car park.
Entry information published for the event shows UKA/TRA affiliated entry at £35.00 and unaffiliated entry at £37.00. Entries open and close on published dates; entries so far are recorded for the event. Minimum age for participation is 17. Prizes are available for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers and for age-category winners V40, V50, V60 and V70+.
Participants are required to carry minimum kit: a waterproof jacket with hood, hat and gloves, a cup or bottle (no cups at drink stations), and a mobile phone with the race-day number stored and a location app such as OS Locate or a similar app. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
