Burnsall Trail Half (18 April 2026)

The event is a Half marathon held in Burnsall, North Yorkshire, and is the first race in the Due North Half Marathon series. The venue is the Riverside Car Park Field, Burnsall, BD23 6BU. Entries open 29 July 2025 and close 14 April 2026. Entry fees are £35 for UKA members and £37 for non-members. The minimum age is 17. Entries recorded so far show 7 participants.

Course and facilities

The course uses several sections of the Dales Way footpath and includes around 500 m of ascent with open views of the Yorkshire Dales. Terrain includes riverside paths, stone tracks and open fields. The route is partially way marked. Drink stations provide water and juice. A post-race meal (pie, soup or similar), a bottle of beer, Due North merchandise and sponsor goodies are included. Free car parking is available. A toilet block with male and female toilets is at the top of the car park. Prizes are available for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, and first in V40, V50, V60 and V70+ categories.

Registration, kit and spectator information

Runners must register at the tent in the car park to collect race numbers. Minimum kit requirements include a waterproof jacket with hood, hat and gloves, and a cup or bottle (no cups provided at drink stations). Runners are asked to carry a mobile phone with the race-day contact number stored and a location app such as OS Locate. Spectators may watch from the riverside setting or nearby villages; they are asked not to drive or park along narrow country roads.
