Burnsall Trail Half

The Burnsall Trail Half is the first event in the Due North Trail Race Series, located in the village of Burnsall. The route follows several sections of the Dales Way footpath and includes approximately 500m of ascent. Participants cross varied terrain including riverside paths, stone tracks, and open fields, with the elevated sections of the course providing 360-degree views of the Yorkshire Dales.

The course is partially way-marked. Participants must carry specific mandatory equipment, including a waterproof jacket with a hood, a hat, gloves, a mobile phone with a location app, and a reusable cup or bottle as no cups are provided at the drink stations. The race venue is situated at the Riverside Car Park Field, where registration and the start and finish lines are located.

Participants receive the following as part of their entry:

  • Access to drink stations providing water and juice
  • A post-race meal such as pie or soup
  • A bottle of beer
  • Event merchandise and items from race sponsors
  • Complimentary car parking at the venue

The event is open to runners aged 17 and older. Facilities at the site include a toilet block with male and female toilets.
