Burnsall 12k Trail Race : 18 April 2026

The event takes place in Burnsall at the Riverside Car Park Field (BD23 6BU) and is part of the Due North Trail series. The main distance is 12 km, which follows the first 12 km of the half marathon route with a diversion from Appletreewick that returns runners to the finish at Burnsall. The organizer is Due North Events.

Entries open 29 July 2025 and close 14 April 2026. Entry fees are £25 for UKA members and £27 for non-members. The minimum age for entry is 17. A discount of £7.50 per entry applies when entering three events in the series.

Facilities, kit and race-day information

The car park field serves as the start and finish area; event marshals will organise parking and direct runners to the registration tent. The course is partially way marked. Drinks stations provide water and juice. Included with entry are a post-race meal (for example pie or soup), a bottle of beer, Due North merchandise, sponsor goodies and free car parking. A toilet block with male and female facilities is located at the top of the car park.

Minimum kit requirements list a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, and a personal cup or bottle for water (no cups provided at drinks stations). Runners should carry a mobile phone with the race-day contact number stored and a location app such as OS Locate. Prize giving includes 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for male and female, Open and Non Binary categories, and first in V40, V50, V60 and V70+; prizes are available to collect on the day. Spectator viewing points include the riverside setting, Appletreewick and the Dales Way footpath; spectators are asked not to park on narrow country roads.
