Event Overview
The Buck Creek Streak is a clothing optional trail race held at the Carolina Foothills Resort in Chesnee, South Carolina. The event takes place on a course that winds through woods, trails, and meadows within the resort grounds. Participants can choose between two distance options, both of which are held on the same day.
Available distances include:
- 5 km trail run or walk
- 7.3 km trail run (The Mike Ward Challenge)
The 7.3 km distance honors a long-time member of the resort and includes entry into the 5 km results at no additional cost. Participants are asked to select only one distance for the event. The race uses professional chip timing with sensors embedded in ankle straps to record finish times. Results are displayed on-site immediately following the completion of the run.
Registered participants receive a specialty t-shirt and a meal, subject to registration deadlines and availability. The registration fee also covers a day pass to the Carolina Foothills Resort. All finishers of the 7.3 km distance receive a specific finisher's medallion. Individuals who have not visited the resort previously must complete a background check prior to the day of the race.
