The Buck Creek Streak is the 13th annual trail run held at Carolina Foothills Resort. It is a clothing optional event that follows woods, trails, and meadows on resort property. Participants may choose between two course lengths; entering the longer course also enters the runner in the 5K, but entrants should select only one distance.
- 5K trail run/walk, chip timed with an ankle strap and instant results displayed on a TV
- 7.3K Mike Ward Challenge, entry at no additional cost and a special finisher's medal
Awards are presented for the 5K, including overall male and female winners and age-group placements; a special finisher's medal is awarded to those who complete the 7.3K Mike Ward Challenge. Registration fee tiers for early registration are specified by date ranges; specialty T-shirt, lunch, and a day pass to the resort are included for registrations completed by the stated deadline, while items after that date are available only while supplies last. No same-day registration is available. All visitors require background check approval for admittance through the resort gate; nonrunners follow the same admittance requirement and may need to purchase a day pass.
