Event overview
The Buck Creek Streak is a clothing-optional trail run/walk held at Carolina Foothills Resort in Chesnee, South Carolina. The course goes through woods, trails, and meadows on resort property. Two distances are offered:
- 5K
- 7.3K (the event’s longer challenge; entrants in the 7.3K are also entered in the 5K but should choose one race length)
The 5K is chip timed using an ankle-strap chip with instant results displayed on a TV. Awards are given for first, second, and third place in the 5K, plus overall male and female awards and first and second place male and female awards by age group. A special finisher’s medal is awarded to participants who complete the 7.3K challenge.
Registration, entry and notes
The 2026 edition is the 12th annual running. Early registration pricing is tiered: $45 (June 23, 2025–December 31, 2025), $55 (January 1–March 31, 2026), and $65 after April 1, 2026. Registration submitted by May 11 includes a specialty event T-shirt, a lunch ticket, and a day pass to the resort; registrations after May 11 receive those items while supplies last. Same-day registration is available only for returning guests. First-time visitors must complete background check approval before admittance to the resort.
