Event overview

Brutal @ Bagshot takes place at Bagshot on Saturday 24th January as the organiser's first event of the 2026 race calendar. The course uses the Army Alpine Driving Training circuit and features hills and water hazards. The route starts on a flat section followed by wet downhill and several climbs of varying lengths. Runners encounter a bog before 3 km, twisting and turning hills, a zigzag section, knee- to waist-deep water holes in the final kilometre of each lap, and a large puddle in the arena. The 10 km option uses two laps of the same circuit.

Distances, limits and race rules

  • 5 km - one lap, entry limit 100, entered 33
  • 10 km - two laps, entry limit 200, entered 64

A 75 minute cut-off applies to complete the first lap for competitors doing the two-lap 10 km option. Minimum ages are 10 for the 5 km and 13 for the 10 km. Juniors are defined as under 16 on race day.

Fees and withdrawals

Standard entry fees are listed separately for seniors and juniors: 5 km senior £31.00, junior £23.00; 10 km senior £33.00, junior £25.00. The organiser states fee increases for events on Ministry of Defence land and a reduced early bird discount. Entrants can withdraw up until the Thursday before the event; withdrawals are credited to the entrant’s account for use at other events and are not refunded. Event credits remain valid for two years.

Trail runs nearby

A guided 10 km trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, Surrey. Hilly evening and night runs in a group setting with parking available and a kit list provided; cost £22 per person.
