BRADBURY BREAKER

The Bradbury Breaker is a 9 mile trail race at Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal, ME. The course consists of two laps of a hilly, technical single track loop on the mountain side of the park and includes repeated ascents and descents, rock and root sections, and forest trail terrain. Runners should expect a course that emphasizes climbing and technical footing.

The event enforces a race cutoff of 3 hours (20 minute mile pace). Each race in the Bradbury Mountain Trail Race Series is capped at 180 entrants; there is no waiting list, no bib transfers, and no same day registration. Race shirts are distributed at bib pickup and must be claimed in person.

The Breaker is one race in the Bradbury Mountain Trail Race Series, also called the Badass Bradbury Races. Runners who complete four races in the series within the cutoff times earn a Bad Ass Hoodie after the fourth qualifying race. Overall male and female series champions receive a handcrafted Adirondack chair in addition to series apparel and individual race prizes. Prizes at this race include first choice from the prize table for overall male and female finishers and additional awards drawn among decade age group winners.

Trail Monster Running is a not-for-profit organization that organizes the series with unpaid volunteers. Proceeds support race equipment and local outdoor and trail related nonprofits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
