Bradbury Bruiser
The Bradbury Bruiser is a trail race held at Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal, ME, starting from the area listed as 528 Hallowell Rd. The course is a roughly 12 mile loop on mostly single-track trails with rocks, roots, bumps, and hills. The final two miles follow the technical "O-Trail" section.
The event is the third race in the Bradbury Mountain Trail Race Series. Each race in the series is capped at 160 runners; there is no wait list, no bib transfers, and no same-day registration. A race cutoff time of 3 hours 36 minutes is applied.
T-shirts with a new annual design are distributed at bib pickup; runners must be present to receive their shirt. The overall first male and female finishers select first from the prize table. Additional prizes are awarded by random drawings among the winners of each decade age group. Many prizes come from event sponsors.
Trail Monster Running organizes the races as a nonprofit. All organizers are unpaid volunteers. Proceeds support race equipment and local nonprofits and trail-related charities. Any leftover shirts or hoodies are donated to local homeless shelters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
