BRADBURY BRUISER

The Bradbury Bruiser is a trail race held on August 9, 2026 in Pownal, ME, using much of Bradbury Mountain’s East Side trail system. The course is a roughly 12 mile loop of single track trails with rocks, roots, bumps, and hills. The final two miles follow the O-Trail, a section highlighted in the race description for its difficulty.

The event is the third race in the Bradbury Mountain Trail Race Series. Runners who complete four races in the series within the cutoff times earn a Bad Ass Hoodie, which is distributed after the fourth qualifying finish. The overall male and female champions of the series receive a handcrafted Adirondack chair from Prospect Mountain Furniture in addition to their series hoodie and individual race prizes.

The race has a cutoff of 3 hours 36 minutes, equivalent to an 18 minute per mile pace. Field size is limited to 160 runners; there is no wait list, no bib transfers, and no same day registration. Registration closes on August 5. Entry fees and registration availability are shown by the organizer.

Trail Monster Running organizes the event as a nonprofit with volunteer race directors. Proceeds support race equipment and local nonprofit organizations related to outdoors and trails. Leftover shirts and hoodies are donated to local homeless shelters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
