Course, aid, and policies

The main loop is a 10-mile route through Lowell Preserve and North Falmouth Community Forest with rocks and roots on mostly single-track trails. Start and finish are in Lowell Preserve at the Windham Fire Station. The 13M course is one 10-mile loop plus a 5k loop in East Windham Conservation Area. The 50K is three 10-mile loops and the marathon follows the 13M course twice.

There are two aid stations: start/finish and a 5-mile turnaround. Both stations will offer water, soda, chips, candy, and LMNT electrolyte mix, with volunteers on hand and space for drop bags. The course will be marked with pin flags, directional arrows, and LEFT/RIGHT/WRONG WAY signs. Each participant receives a wood carved Firebird medal; top non-binary, male and female finishers in each distance receive awards. The 50K has a 9-hour overall cut-off (about 17:42 min/mile); all distances must finish within this time. No refunds will be issued. Runners may drop to a lower distance before the start; mid-race drops are ineligible for lower-distance awards. A pregnancy deferral is available for a subsequent year.
