Down for Trail Running is a trail-running weekend in western Maine, held at Mirror Lake in West Newfield. Runners navigate a looping course of forest roads, single-track, rugged sections, and climbs, with each lap roughly 3.6 miles—participants choose how many laps to complete. The course provides a mix of double-track forest roads and technical segments, set against a scenic lake backdrop; the start/finish sits on Mirror Lake. The event is untimed, focusing on the experience and camaraderie. The weekend also features a Saturday cyclocross race and on-site camping, plus a post-ride gathering with wood-fired pizza and beer, and a recommended swim in the lake.
