The Bourbon Country 25k/50k/5k is the third annual running event held on March 28, 2026, at the Harry S. Frazier Scout Reservation in Shepherdsville, Kentucky (950 Terry Drive, 40165). The event offers three distances:

  • 25k
  • 50k
  • 5k

Entry prices listed are $65 for the 25k, $85 for the 50k, and $30 for the 5k. Prices increase after December 31, 2025. The event has a uniform cutoff of nine hours for all distances.

Course and race features

The 25k and 50k use a 15.7-mile loop with over 2,300 feet of elevation gain per loop. The course follows portions of the Crooked Creek Trail Race in reverse and includes additional segments. The venue covers about 1,000 acres of hilly terrain. The 5k is also run on trail terrain and is described as more demanding than a typical road 5k.

There will be three water stations and two light aid stations with snacks on course. All participants in the 5k, 25k, and 50k receive a race shirt and a finisher's medal. Awards will be given to the top two overall male and female finishers in each distance. Packet pickup occurs on race day at the event venue.
