The 25k and 50k use a 15.7-mile loop that includes over 2,300 feet of elevation gain per loop. The course traverses roughly 1,000 acres of hilly terrain and incorporates portions of the Crooked Creek Race course run in reverse, along with new trail segments. The trail is noted as being open to the public only twice a year.

The course provides three water stations and two light aid stations stocked with snacks. The 5k course is described as a trail challenge rather than a typical road 5k and requires attention to terrain and footing.

All participants in the 5k, 25k and 50k receive a race day shirt and a commemorative finisher's medal. Awards are given to the top two overall male and female finishers in each distance. The event cutoff time is nine hours for all distances. Packet pickup is held at the Harry S. Frazier Scout Reservation on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
