Event

Bootlegger Trail Run is a winter trail race held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 13219 Streetcar Dr, Maryland Heights, MO 63043. The event is billed as the 9th annual Bootlegger 10K and takes place in Upper Creve Coeur Park. The course is primarily single-track trail with multiple turns, switchbacks, and views overlooking the lakefront. Dogs are not permitted on the course or in the race.

Course and race format

The race begins with a 1.5-mile parade loop on Streetcar Drive to naturally sort the field by pace before runners enter the trail. Runners complete a full loop counterclockwise and return to the start/finish area at the old streetcar loop building. The course description indicates participants should be able to keep a pace of about 21 minutes per mile. A course map is provided by the organizer.

Registration, swag, and awards

Registration pricing is tiered: $25 through January 2, $28 from January 3 to February 2, and $31 from February 3 through race day; displayed pricing does not include processing fees. All registrants receive a custom finisher item; participants may also purchase a commemorative long sleeve tri-blend shirt for $20. Packet pickup details are to be announced.

Custom awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The top three overall finishers also receive complimentary admission to the Go Ape! attraction.

Volunteers and sponsors

Volunteers assist with packet pickup, course marshaling, and pre/post-race duties and receive a finisher item and a Fleet Feet gift card. Event sponsors include Fleet Feet, Go Ape!, and Start 2 Finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
