Bogong to Hotham is a mountain ultra scheduled for Sat 17th Jan 2026. The event offers the following distances:

- 35k
- 64k
The 2026 edition will be the 35th running. The race takes place in the Victorian High Country and finishes at the Mt Hotham summit. Registration is open.
Course and logistics
The start is at Mountain Creek Campground. The course climbs Mt Bogong, descends T-Spur to Big River, then climbs Duane's Spur onto the Bogong High Plains. Runners pass the main aid station at Langford Gap, cross the high plains, descend to the Cobungra River, and climb Swindler's Spur to the Mt Hotham summit finish.
There is limited parking at Mountain Creek Campground and no bus service to that start. Bus transport is provided for certain return legs for 35k, 29k, and 64k runners when a ticket that includes the bus is purchased.
Entry, safety and support
The full 64k requires prior ultra running experience and mandatory equipment as listed by the organiser. Entry assessment considers trail experience, endurance and pace. All runners must download and configure the Tracker App before the race. The organiser donates $1 per participant to Canteen, an Australian charity for young people living with cancer.
