Summer Sizzler - Toledo

The Summer Sizzler is an annual running event held in Toledo, Ohio, offering a variety of distances to accommodate different levels of participants. The event features multiple road race options and a dedicated youth program. For participants who cannot attend the physical location, a virtual race option allows individuals to complete their chosen distance at any location and upload their results digitally.

Participants can choose from the following event distances:

• 50 m (Kids Dash for ages 10 and under)
• 1 mile (Untimed)
• 5 km (3.1 miles)
• 10 km (6.2 miles)
• 15 km (9.3 miles)

The 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km races are chip-timed and include live results and awards. The 1 mile and Kids Dash are untimed events. Youth-specific pricing is available for participants aged 12 and under in the 5 km and 10 km distances. Children participating in the Kids Dash have the option to run for free if they choose not to receive the event gear.

Registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To guarantee a shirt in the correct size, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday falling two weeks prior to the race. The event provides free professional photos and finish-line amenities, including treats and Kona Ice. Additionally, a registration refund program is available for groups; teams that reach four members receive a partial refund, with an additional refund issued if the team grows to ten members.
