Bobcat Trail Races - Palmer Park, Colorado Springs

The Bobcat Trail Races take place at Palmer Park in Colorado Springs and are managed by Aravaipa Running beginning in 2024. The event uses the park's trail system and rocky bluffs to provide city and mountain views, including sightlines to Pikes Peak. Courses are clearly marked with orange ribbon and laminated signs; non-race trails are marked with blue and white checkerboard ribbon.

Distances offered include:

  • 50K - 31.0 miles, 3,591 ft total elevation gain.
  • 25K - 15.36 miles, 1,796 ft total elevation gain.
  • 10K - 6.5 miles, 710 ft total elevation gain.
  • 5K - 3.68 miles, 400 ft total elevation gain.

Aid stations are provided on the longer courses; the 5K has no aid stations. Crews may access the start/finish area but parking can be limited. No pacers are allowed for any distance. Finish-line drop bags are available for all runners. Runners are required to carry a reusable cup for aid stations and to have an offline course map or GPX loaded on a personal device. Distances may vary slightly year to year due to permitting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
