Bobcat Trail Races : Palmer Park, Colorado Springs

The Bobcat Trail Races take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Palmer Park in Colorado Springs, organized by Aravaipa Running. The event offers multiple trail distances that use the park’s single-track, rocky bluffs, and varied terrain with views toward the city and Pikes Peak. The race series was formerly a Mad Moose event and was passed to Aravaipa Running starting in 2024.

Course management details: courses are marked with orange ribbon with black polka dots and laminated turn signs; wrong-way trails use blue and white checkerboard ribbon. Runners are responsible for navigation and are asked to carry an offline GPX map on a personal device. A reusable cup is listed as mandatory gear for aid stations.

Aid and support: multiple aid stations are provided on the 50K, 25K, and 10K courses; there are no aid stations on the 5K. Crews and spectators are permitted at the start and finish area, but parking may be limited. Pacers are not allowed for any distance. Finish line drop bags are available for all runners.

Experience a historic mountain run on Pikes Peak climbing to an altitude of 10,200 feet. This 12.6 mile trail race features a 3,630 foot vertical gain through the scenic landscapes of Manitou Springs.

A trail ultramarathon in Colorado Springs with 20K, 30K, 50K and 50 mile options that start and finish at Bear Creek Regional Park. Courses use local granite trails, include high elevation sections, and operate cupless aid stations.

Trail run at Rampart Reservoir with 8 mile and 16 mile options on single track and rocky sections. Entry is limited to 150 and registration closes August 5, 2026.

Experience the trails of Cheyenne Mountain State Park with three race distances ranging from a 5K walk to a 25K mountain challenge. This chip timed fundraiser supports park conservation through scenic and high elevation courses.
