Entry is by pre-entry only; there is no entry on the day. The pre-entry fee is £16. Entry is via SiEntries about 10 weeks before the event. The "classic" route will be enforced and the first ascent to CP1 will be partially marked. The event counts as an English champs counter. All parking is at Low Beckside Farm (on the left when approaching the village from the A66) and registration is at the farm. Take on the Really Wild Boar fell race on Sat 6 Dec 2025 in the York Dales, a 9 km challenge with 450 m of climb through classic fell terrain. On the day entry is £10 and includes soup and a roll. Register at the Fat Lamb Country Inn.

Lakeland Paws Grizedale Growl on 7 December 2025 in Grizedale Forest offers scenic 5K and 10K runs on forest roads and trails with views over Coniston Water. Chip timed and dog friendly with up to two dogs per runner, event is full.
