Bewl Water Autumn - Overview

Bewl Water Autumn is a bi-annual race series that starts near the Bewl Water Visitor Centre in Lamberhurst, Kent. The routes follow the reservoir and use a combination of undulating rural wooded trail and some quiet country lanes, with regular views of the lake. Event dates listed include 13 June 2026 and 12 September 2026. Course maps, GPX routes and a route video are available for each distance. The organiser notes that distances were measured with a Garmin Fenix 6X Pro-Solar watch and that the marathon course is slightly longer than the standard marathon distance.

Distances and route details

  • 10km: out-and-back 3.1 miles; turnaround marshalled; 2.5 hour limit.
  • Half Marathon: 13.1 miles; 0.6 mile loop then one 12.5 mile loop; 6 hour limit.
  • Marathon: 26.5 miles; one 1 mile loop then two 12.5 mile loops; 7.15 hour limit.
  • Ultra 50km: 31.25 miles; two 12.5 mile loops then a final 6.25 mile loop; 8 hour limit.

KNC 6 at Rusthall Common is a Kent Night Cup score event combining forest, urban and rock features in a 60 minute night challenge. Limited to 40 places and online registration only, so book early for an atmospheric evening orienteering.

Explore runnable forest at Shoreham Woods with courses for all abilities and a one hour score challenge. Online entry only; trails are shared with walkers, riders and bikers and have some steep slippery slopes.

Join the 666 Trail Run at Kings Wood for a scenic 6.66 mile trail through mature woodland organised by Ashford Tri Club. Limited to 200 entries so book early and expect limited parking and patchy phone signal.
