Two Tunnels - August 2026
Two Tunnels is a running event in Bath that uses the Two Tunnels shared use path and finishes at Brickfields Park. The route passes through two long railway tunnels that run beneath the city. The Devonshire Tunnel is 408 m long and Combe Down Tunnel is 1672 m long. Both tunnels are described as well lit and well surfaced.
The event programme includes multiple distances and race formats, with options for individuals and teams. The start and finish are at Brickfields Park, which has a children’s playground and space for picnics. The organiser contributes £1 per runner to the charity Sustrans and notes that over £30,000 has been raised to date. The event also refers to a period of restoration work that reopened the tunnels after they were closed for many years; the railway had closed in 1966 and the tunnels were sealed until April 2013.
Tickets for this edition are currently sold out. The organiser is Relish The Great Outdoors, which runs events in the South West of England.
