This is the second annual Backyard Ultra marathon in New Town, Missouri. It takes place in October.

Course Format

The event involves runners completing a loop of 4.17 miles each hour. Participants have until the start of the next hour to finish each loop and begin the next one. It is a "last person standing" format. The race officially has volunteers until a specific time on Sunday, which corresponds to running 116.8 miles. If two runners remain at that point, accommodations will be made to continue.

Registration and Fees

The registration fee is $25. To run each loop, participants must contribute one dollar to a communal race jar. The winner receives half of the money collected, while the other half is donated to the MSMDS charity.

Participant Details

Each participant who completes a loop receives a custom DNF token. Runners can also join for individual loops at any hour, though they are not eligible for the overall prize jar.
