Watershed Endurance 6Hr / 3Hr Runs

The Watershed Endurance event is a timed running event held in the evening on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Watershed Nature Center in Edwardsville, IL. It offers two timed events on a looped course to measure how many miles an individual can complete within the allotted time.

The course is a 1.01 mile loop that runs from the walking path at the Welcome Center. The surface is approximately 50% crushed limestone or gravel and 50% pavement. Direction of the loop alternates by year: counterclockwise in odd years and clockwise in even years. Participants must wear a headlamp, waist lamp, or carry a light after sunset. Runners may run, jog, walk, or take breaks between loops.

Field size is limited to 120 participants. Registration fees vary by date; the 6 hour event ranges from $65 to $80 and the 3 hour event ranges from $45 to $60. Packet pickup is available the day before at a local running store and on race day in front of the Welcome Center.

An aid station near the Welcome Center will supply water, energy gels, fruit, snacks, and basic first aid; no cooked food will be provided. The event is cup free and restrooms are available inside the Welcome Center.

Awards are given to overall male and female finishers in each race and to the top two male and female finishers in age groups 29 & under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
