ATW Grafham Water - Trail & Canicross

The event is a 10 mile loop that circumnavigates Grafham Water, based at Grafham Water Visitor Centre, PE28 0BH. The route starts on the dam, continues around multi-terrain trails that pass the Woodland Nature Reserve, Dragonfly Pond and Sanctuary Bay, and finishes with the final mile along the length of the dam wall.

There are two race options:

  • 10 mile Trail Run
  • 10 mile Canicross

Canicross teams run in a separate wave before the main runners for safety. Recognised canicross harnesses are required and dogs must remain on leads at all times. Water bowls will be provided at aid stations and dog treats will be available at the finish. Canicross finishers receive a medal and a special dog charm. The event provides finish-line goodies, free event photos and marshals on course.

Practical details from the organiser include camping at Lakeview Paddock the night before and dormitory-style accommodation at Grafham Water Centre. Car parking is available at the venue with a fee payable at ticket machines. Entry is open to participants aged 17 and over on the event date. Prices listed are £28 for the 10 mile trail run and £33 for the 10 mile canicross. The organiser does not offer refunds or transfers to another person but allows entry transfers to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the scheduled event. The event lists Alzheimers Research UK as a charity partner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
