Hosted by the Association of the United States Army Southern Virginia Chapter, the Southern Virginia 5K offers a 5K Run/Walk and a 10K Run/Walk along the Capital Trail in Charles City, Virginia. The course runs on the scenic Capital Trail with options for all paces. The event takes place at 9220 John Tyler Memorial Hwy near 5 Fields Brewing Co. Participants receive an official race time, a finisher’s medal, a SWAG item, and a finish-line beer, with post-race refreshments. Celebrate the 30th Chesterfield Alumni Run on Thanksgiving at Pocahontas State Park with a free community XC 5k and kids fun run with gingerbread cookies. Stay for giveaways and optional donations to support local track and cross country.

Join the Women's Trail Festival at Freedom Park in Williamsburg, VA on March 28 to 29, 2026 for 10 mile and 8k trail options, competitive or noncompetitive, plus talks, classes, lunch and community fun. Proceeds support local charities.

Run the Motion for Justice 5k in Rocketts Landing along the scenic Virginia Capital Trail with James River views. Enjoy a finisher medal and technical shirt or go virtual if you cannot attend in person.
