Association of the United States Army Southern Virginia 5K and 10K
The Association of the United States Army Southern Virginia Chapter presents its 3rd Annual 5K and 10K, scheduled in late September 2026 on the Virginia Capital Trail in Charles City, Virginia. The event offers official race timing, a finisher's medal, an event SWAG item, and a finish line beer.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk, 3.1 miles
- 10K Run/Walk, 6.2 miles
Registration opens June 22, 2026 and closes September 26, 2026. The registration fee is $25 for each distance. Packet pickup is available the morning of the event.
Runners are released in small groups of one to three. Chip timing begins when a participant crosses the starting mat and ends when the participant crosses the finish mat.
Proceeds from registrations support the 2nd Annual Charles City High School JROTC Scholarship Fund. Sponsorship opportunities are available for a listed cost of $250 and include community partnership recognition, logo on event SWAG, social media promotion, 5K/10K course signage, and one complimentary race registration.
