Beaver Tail Trail 4 Miler : Pocahontas State Park, VA

The Beaver Tail Trail 4-Miler is a four-mile cross-country style trail race held at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, Virginia, on September 26, 2026. The course follows wide fire roads around Beaver Lake and includes sections of single-track with two short technical stretches featuring roots and rolling hills. Overall the route is described as runnable with some varied terrain.

The event is organized by the =PR= Run Club and is associated with park programming on National Public Lands Day. Park entry and parking are free on the event day. The race operates as a cupless event; water and hydration are provided at the start/finish area, and participants are asked to use their own handheld bottles, vests, or reservoirs if they need hydration while running.

Registration opens June 30, 2026 and closes on the day of the race. The registration fee is $25.00. Packet pickup is available at the =PR= Run & Walk shop the day before the race and also onsite near the park Visitors Center on race morning.
