Armstrong Valley Wine Run 5k
The Armstrong Valley Wine Run is a chip timed 5k run and walk held at Armstrong Valley Winery in Halifax, Pennsylvania on March 13, 2027. The course starts and finishes near the parking area and runs through vineyard terrain. The route is cross country style with areas of uneven footing and some inclines, and it provides a tour of the vineyards.
Registration includes a T shirt made of ring spun cotton, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib, and a pour of wine. Results are posted online. Packet pickup is race day only.
The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each category. Ten year age groups include 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. Age group medals are available for pickup at the event and are not shipped after the event. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards.
Minors may participate and receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but not a wine glass or a glass of wine. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA restrictions.
