Desert Solstice Track Invitational

Desert Solstice is a track ultrarunning event held December 19-20, 2026 at Camelback High School track in Phoenix, AZ. The meet focuses on elite 24 hour and 100 mile performances and serves as a qualifier for the national 24 Hour team. Entry is by invitation or qualification and the 24 hour and 100 mile fields are limited to 25 runners total.

The course is a 400 meter all-weather track with no elevation gain per loop and a listed maximum elevation of 1,123 feet. Direction of travel changes every four hours. Portable restrooms are available on course. A fully stocked aid station will provide water, electrolyte drinks, and food; volunteers can prepare food on request. Assigned personal spaces consist of paired 10x10 canopies with two tables and chairs to share.

Electronic chip timing records two timing points per lap and results show the furthest distance reached for timed events; a 100 mile split is indicated within 24 hour results. Prize money and awards are tied to specific performance standards; top three male and female performances are awarded in both 24 hour and 100 mile. Live split tracking and a livestream will be available. Handlers and lodging assistance can be arranged with prior notice. Celebrate Independence Day with a scenic 4 mile trail run through White Tank Regional Park. Experience mountain views and climb toward the top of the park to earn a finisher medal and T-shirt at this cup-less green event.

Night trail races at Usery Mountain Regional Park with four looped distances on a flat, marked course. Aid stations, crew/drop bag access, shuttles from campground, and on-site medical support are provided.

Six night trail races across Maricopa County Regional Parks from April to September, with distances from 5 km to 75 km. Series passes provide a 20% discount and a points system that counts the top three race scores for awards.

Night trail races at White Tank Mountain Regional Park offering 6K to 52K on a 6.5 mile Sonoran loop with technical terrain, stocked aid stations, live tracking, camping availability, and cupless race protocol.
