The Ancient Trail Trek is an annual trail running event held at the Keystone Ancient Forest nature preserve in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. The event takes place on the preserve's trails and begins and ends at the Keystone Ancient Forest visitors center and trailhead. The forest encompasses 1,360 acres of largely undisturbed habitat with ancient post oaks and cedars and is located near Keystone Lake.

Course options and entry fees:

  • 5K: $40, shirt optional
  • 10K: $40, shirt optional
  • 15K: $50, shirt optional

Courses pass through old-growth post oaks and cedar stands and include natural rock formations. The 15K course follows a lollipop loop and then shares the same finish route as the shorter races; course signage is provided. Packet pickup is held the day before at RunnersWorld Tulsa and on-site registration and packet pickup are available at the Keystone Ancient Forest visitors center on race day.

Timing is provided using electronic RFID systems with real-time results. Finish-line photos and downloadable finisher certificates are available through the event timing platform. Each finisher receives a custom finisher medal. Awards are given for overall places and in 10-year age groups, with cash prizes for top male and female finishers in each distance.
