Active Fakenham Town Centre 5k

The Active Fakenham Town Centre 5k takes place on Easter Sunday in the center of Fakenham. The event is part of the local Easter Funday celebrations and utilizes a 1k closed-road circuit through the heart of the town. This multi-lap format provides numerous viewing locations for spectators, who can also access nearby stalls, cafés, and pubs along the course.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 5k race for runners aged 11 and over.
  • 1k Fun Run open to adults and children.
  • Toddle’n’Trike event specifically for children under five years old.

The 5k race features electronic timing, and for the 2026 edition, individual lap times will be recorded in addition to the overall finish time. Awards are presented to winners in various age categories, including under 18, open, and veteran groups ranging from 40 to over 70 for both men and women.

All finishers across the various events receive a medal. Children participating in the races are provided with a branded drawstring bag containing fruit and chocolate. Free parking is available for those traveling to the venue. While entries are non-refundable, those who cannot attend may transfer their registration to another runner until the specified deadline at the end of March.
