9/11 Never Forget Trail Run/Walk
The 9/11 Never Forget Trail Run/Walk is an annual commemorative event held at Fillmore County Park in Brighton, Michigan. Organized by Livingston County Veteran Services and Howell Recreation, this event marks its fourth year as a tribute to those lost during the events of September 11th, as well as military veterans and first responders. A portion of the proceeds from the event supports Livingston County Veteran Services.
The event features the following distance:
- 5K trail run or walk
The course consists of unpaved surfaces and is not suitable for strollers. For the safety and comfort of all participants, the organizers request that only service animals accompany runners and walkers on the trail. Each participant receives a finisher medal upon completion of the course. Participants who complete their registration by mid-August are also provided with an event t-shirt.
Electronic timing services are provided by the Michigan Running Foundation. Participants receive their chip-timed results via text message, and live standings are updated throughout the event. Race packets are available for collection at the Oceola Community Center in Howell during the days leading up to the race, with an option for on-site pickup available on the morning of the event.
