Canmore Nordic Centre : 5 Peaks Trail Running (Canmore #1)

The event takes place at the Canmore Nordic Centre and uses a network of singletrack and double track trails with panoramic views of the Canadian Rockies. Courses include sustained climbs, technical sections and flowy singletrack, with significant elevation gain and looped routes that allow participants to see other runners.

  • Sport Run or Hike 7.1 km
  • Enduro Run or Hike 16.1 km
  • Grit Run 22 km

Distances and maps are subject to change based on trail conditions up to race day. Sport, Enduro and Grit participants are required to carry bear spray; children in the 1 km and 3 km events are not required to carry bear spray and additional volunteers carrying spray will assist on those courses. The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start/finish and at one or more aid stations. Optional finisher medals and swag can be pre-purchased through the registration platform or bought on site while supplies last. Restroom facilities are available in the start/finish area. Park in the main or overflow parking near the Day Lodge; a Kananaskis Pass is required for the day and is not included with registration. The Canmore Revolver is a five hour AMLAP running event on a 6 km loop at the Canmore Nordic Centre on June 27, 2026. Solo runners or teams of two or three compete, with a finish line social featuring poutine and CR*FT drinks.

Relentless24 is a 24 hour endurance run at the Canmore Nordic Centre on July 11, 2026. Solo runners and teams of various sizes use single track and double track trails with mountain views and pacer options.

Two paved races in Kananaskis Country on July 25 and 26, 2026 at the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. Field is limited to 500 participants per day and a Zero Trace protocol asks athletes to carry their own hydration vessel.

Trail races at the Canmore Nordic Centre amid mountain views with distances from 1 km to 19.3 km; some categories must carry bear spray and the event is cup free.
