3 French Hens Run

The 3 French Hens Run is an off-road event held at Pengethley Manor in Ross-on-Wye. This race is part of a larger festive series inspired by the 12 Days of Christmas. The course is situated within the grounds of the manor and consists of 2.5 km laps. The terrain includes a hill on each lap and a series of inclines and declines through two vineyards.

Participants can choose their own target distance from the following options:

  • 5 km (2 laps)
  • 10 km
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

Regardless of the selected distance, all participants have a maximum time limit of 7 hours to complete their run. The event is open to both runners and walkers.

The course is described as a tough off-road route. Registration takes place on the day of the event, where participants collect their race bibs. For those unable to attend the physical event at Pengethley Manor, a virtual participation option is available. Virtual runners can complete their chosen distance at a location of their preference. Finishers who have purchased a paid entry receive a unique medal specific to the 3 French Hens event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
