Trail Running calendar near Detroit Lakes 2026-2027

Trail races at Kensington Runestone Park featuring a chip-timed 7K and a 1-mile kids run; pre-registration by June 13 includes a T-shirt and proceeds support local Nordic programs.

An evening 3.1 Miles 5K in Moorhead that starts and finishes at Junkyard Brewing Moorhead. Registration includes an event shirt, a complimentary beer, a commemorative glass and chip timing, and entries are limited to 550.

END-BACKYARD Ultra in McLeod, North Dakota on August 22, 2026 uses the backyard ultra format with repeated 4 mile 880 foot laps started once each hour. Runners continue while they complete each lap within the hour.

An endurance festival in Moorhead with timed three, six, twelve and twenty four hour run and ruck events. Laps use a five mile loop with aid station support, finishers awards, and buckles for 100 mile runs or 100k rucks.

Red River Run is a river trail event organized by the Lake Agassiz Pacers, marking its 51st anniversary on September 19, 2026. The course is USTF Certified, includes two races, offers post race snacks and over $1,000 in door prizes.
