Red River Run

The Red River Run is a river-trail running event held on September 19, 2026. The event has been held since 1974 and the 2026 edition marks the 52nd anniversary. The course will be USTF certified, and awards are distributed at the finish line with no formal ceremony. Photographs from the event are posted on the event's Facebook page.

Packet pick up is at MB Johnson Park (3601 11th St N, Moorhead). Race day registration is available. The trail route can be winding and sometimes narrow; rain may make some sections slippery or muddy, and strollers and pets are not permitted for safety reasons. Post-race snacks are provided, and the event offers over $1,000 in door prizes. The race supports Hope Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit serving the Fargo-Moorhead and Grand Forks communities with family-friendly sporting and recreational opportunities.
